Meet Jane - National Coordinator for Positive Women Inc

Jane has been the National Coordinator for Positive Women Inc since September 2004. She is a mother and very proud grandmother and has been living with HIV since 1988. Born in Holland, Jane immigrated to New Zealand at the young age of four. She is passionate about travelling, having gained a National Certificate in Travel and Tourism. She has travelled extensively and lived in Tanzania for nearly 12 years. She is the Asia Pacific UNAIDS PCB NGO Delegate. Apart from having a Graduate Diploma in Not for Profit Management, Jane also has a Masters in Social Practise (MScoP) 1st Class Honours. Her thesis is entitled Stigma and Women living with HIV: A Cooperative Inquiry.

As the social worker here at Positive Women Inc., Marietta's key role is to assist our members with social, emotional, psychological and practical supports.

Marietta's career has been varied and she has worked in communications and more recently in social work. She has a Bachelor of Arts from North West University in South Africa and graduated with a Master of Social Work (Applied) degree from Massey University in April 2009. Over the years Marietta has worked for non-profit agencies, government agencies and in the health and mental health sectors.

Marietta works on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 9am-5pm.

Anna grew up in the small rural community of Dannevirke nestled close to the Ruahine Ranges in Southern Hawkes Bay. She has just recently moved back to New Zealand after six years living in Vancouver, Canada where she became immersed in the non-profit community working in fundraising for social justice, environmental and aid organisations.

Anna is thrilled to be a part of the Positive Women Inc. team and apply her skills to an organization that supports women and has such a positive impact on the wider community.
